Out-of-School Days
The Gaston County Family YMCA offers childcare options for school-aged children while Gaston County Schools and/or Piedmont Community Charter Schools are out for schedule breaks like Teacher Work Days, Spring Break, and Holidays. Please take a moment to review the dates available.
Out-of-School Days allow for students will enjoy activities throughout the day including games, sports, crafts, and more! Students are grouped together by age and grade and spend their day with their peers and YMCA youth staff and counselors.
YMCA Out-of-School Days operate from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm and is available for students ages 5 - 14, Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Care may be provided at one or more YMCA locations.
Out-of-school days are not included in Afterschool registration or pricing. Out-of-school days require separate/additional registration to secure your child’s spot.
PLEASE NOTE: We have taken two days off for in-service training:
October 11 - Stowe will be the ONLY location for care. There will be a staff in-service training at Warlick.
February 17 - Warlick will be the ONLY location for care. There will be a staff in-service training at Stowe.
