Spring is the perfect time to get outside, move, and connect with others! Whether you're looking for a fun-filled family outing, a team-building experience with coworkers, or a great way to enjoy time with friends, this event is for you.
Join us as we race through the scenic rolling hills of Cherryville, starting and finishing at First Presbyterian Church. The course winds through the heart of the community, making this a race to remember!
More than just a race—your participation supports the YMCA's Annual Giving Campaign, which ensures all children and families have access to life-changing programs like youth sports, swim safety, afterschool care, summer camp, and essential meal programs. Every step you take helps us strengthen our community!

Why is the 5K race at 10 am?
The 5K race is at 10 am to allow for runners to get to Cherryville in time to run! It also allows runners to run BOTH the Belmont Classic and Cherry Blossom 5K! What a challenge! The Gaston Run Series is awarding DOUBLE POINTS for completing both races!

Will I get a race shirt?
Yes! Runners and walkers will receive a race shirt as long as they register prior to April 11. Those after April 11 will be first come first serve at packet pick up.

Why is a Bubble Mile?
A Bubble Mile makes running a mile MUCH MORE FUN! We are adding bubbles to the start/finish to make the race more exciting. Please bring along your favorite bubble wand to get in on the fun!

When is packet pickup?
Packet pick up will begin Saturday, April 23 at 8:15 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 107 West Academy Street, Cherryville.

Can I walk the 5K?
The 5K is open to walkers and runners alike. We will not have an awards division for walkers.
This race also offers a 1 Mile walk option open to both kids and adults alike!

Will the kids' 5K or walk be timed?
Kids racing at the reduced price will not receive a time. If your child would like to be timed please register them for the full 5K. The 1-mile bubble run/walk will not be timed.

Can I wear headphones, run with my pet, or push a baby stroller?
Headphones are allowed, but please be aware and cautious of your surroundings. We try to lessen as much traffic as possible but realize we cannot close off traffic 100 percent. Your leashed dog can run with you for no extra charge, and may even win the dog division- just hold on when our New Year Shooter shoots the starting musket! Strollers are allowed.

Is this course flat or hilly?
This course is hillier than it looks! It offers a challenge and includes several rolling hills.
