LIFTING PROGRAMS

Our Weight Lifting Programs are designed to empower individuals of all ages and abilities to reach their fitness goals, build muscle, and improve overall health.

At the Gaston County Family YMCA, we offer weight lifting programs tailored to meet the diverse needs and preferences of our members. Whether you are a beginner looking to start your fitness journey or an experienced lifter seeking to challenge yourself further, we have something for everyone. We provide a safe and supportive environment where you can focus on your fitness goals without any distractions. We offer individual training sessions, lifting challenges and group classes.

Weight Lifting Program Options

4-Week Powerlifting educational program on the proper techniques and training programs. The program will include fundamentals, learning to train, active training, and training to compete. The lifts techniques taught will include benching, deadlifts, and squatting. Program will meet twice a week until program graduation. Coached by a certified USA Weightlifting Coach and nationally certified personal trainers.

This course is the perfect training to prepare for our upcoming Trio and Olympic Lifting Challenges!

Offered at the Warlick Family YMCA.

WOMEN IN THE WEIGHT ROOM AT STOWE

Looking to achieve your fitness goals but do not know where to start?
Women in the Weight Room is designed specifically for women interested in strength training and eager to learn about free weights and machines. You will be taken through basic total body weight training workout that you can feel comfortable coming back to and doing on your own. You will see huge increases in strength and endurance. Personal Trainers will focus on mobility, bodyweight strength, and all aspects of weight training (barbell, free weights and machines). Come lift with us!

Offered only at the Stowe Family YMCA.

Tuesday & Thursday  |  6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

REGISTRATION DATES:
Women in the Weight Room operates on an on-going registration schedule. This program is similar to Personal Training and can begin on your schedule!

(6) 60-Minute sessions   |  YMCA Member $30 per session   |   Program Participant $60 per session

Our fitness challenges are designed to help you build strength, improve endurance, and achieve your fitness goals. We offer challenges that will focus on a variety of interests including cardio, strength training, walking/running endurance, and frequency tailored to push you beyond your limits.
