From toddlers to more competitive gymnasts, there’s a gymnastics program at the Y for everyone! All classes incorporate fun and fitness for ages 2-16 years. Classes are designed to enhance fine and gross motor skills and cultivate imagination, creativity, and social development in a caring environment. Our experienced, caring instructors provide a safe environment for your child to develop, grow and move to the next level. Students will grow and develop as they learn the fundamental vocabulary and skills associated with gymnastics.

TODDLER AND PRESCHOOL CLASSES
Preschool Gymnastics Classes
Preschoolers will grow and develop as they learn the fundamental vocabulary and skills associated with gymnastics. They will grow not just physically but mentally and socially as they learn how to follow a teachers instructions, interact with peers and develop self-confidence on the vault, bars, beam, floor and trampoline.
Parent and Me
Come flip, walk, and balance with your child and help them learn the beginning steps of balance and coordination.
YOUTH CLASSES
Tumbling Gymnastics Classes
Children will build confidence to last a lifetime with our tumbling program! Fine tune your child's motor skills and coordination through jumping and balancing. Children will start with the basics and work there way up with strength building and stations to advance their tumbling.
Boys Tumbling Gymnastics Classes
Build confidence to last a lifetime with our tumbling program! Fine tune your child's motor skills and coordination through jumping and Beginner to advanced flipping.
Acro Rockets Gymnastics Classes
Acrobatics introduces youth into acrobatics and tumbling. Children will learn how to flip, stunt, contort and work together. This classes focuses heavily on trust between coaches and students and students with other students.
Comets and Stars Gymnastics Classes
COMETS
No experience necessary. Comets is a beginning developmental class that will lay the foundation on which all other progressive gymnastics skills are built.
STARS
Gymnast must have graduated from Comets and or participated in junior gym previously and must master pull-over, under swing to a candlestick, front support, backbend, jump forward roll. This is a class for gymnasts who desire to further their gymnastics skill level.
Boys Comets Gymnastics Classes
COMETS - BEGINNER GYMNASTICS.
No experience necessary. Comets is a beginning developmental class that will lay the foundation on which all other progressive gymnastics skills are built.
Cheernastics
No experience necessary! Learn the basics of cheer. Everything from Jumps, flips, and stunts.

Homeschool Gymnastics
Discover the World of Gymnastics with YMCA's Homeschool Class! Our Homeschool Gymnastics Class at the YMCA is the perfect opportunity for homeschooling families to explore the exciting world of gymnastics. Tailored to accommodate the unique needs and schedules of homeschoolers, our program combines physical activity with skill development in a safe and supportive environment.
Competitive Team Gymnastics
Our Competitive Team is a year-round team for the skilled athlete looking for a competitive experience. Female gymnasts compete in USA Gymnastics routines and follow Junior Olympic rules and regulations against other YMCAs at state, regional, and national levels. We emphasize positive coaching, technical skill instruction, goal setting, work ethic, and team building.
Competition Levels
Xcel Bronze: Beginner-level competition gymnastics. These athletes will learn all the beginning routines and requirements as well as work on some silver skills when ready. These athletes will compete at AAU sanctioned meets in the Charlotte and Greater Charlotte areas and will conclude their season with the State Championship Meet.
Xcel Silver: Beginner and Intermediate level of competitive gymnastics. These athletes will continue to build a strong foundation of strength, flexibility, and skill acquisition with a focus on technique and performance. Silver athletes will showcase their routines in local and state competitions and will conclude their season with the State Championship Meet.
Xcel Gold: Advanced level of competition gymnastics, These athletes will compete at the local and state levels and will conclude their season with the State Championship Meet and the possibility of Regionals.
Xcel Platinum: The fourth level, or division, as it’s called in Xcel gymnastics, is Xcel Platinum. The requirements in Xcel Platinum continue to progress from those in the Gold division. Gymnasts in the Xcel Platinum division typically have skills that are the equivalent of a DP Level 6.
Xcel Diamond: Xcel Diamond is the fifth level in the Xcel gymnastics levels. To compete in gymnastics in the Xcel Diamond Division, the gymnast must be able to do routines that meet these. requirements, as stated in the Xcel Code of Points, and have scored a 31 All-Around as a Platinum level gymnast.
Xcel Sapphire: Newly added level division beyond Xcel Diamond for upper-level gymnasts to continue the sport in a safe and fun environment. A Division that would allow Xcel gymnasts to prepare for college Intramural sports or NCAA Acrobatics & Tumbling
Tuition Rates
This is a 12-payment schedule and is broken up into monthly payments along with tuition to help even out the amount paid throughout the season.
Bronze Team - One a Week Class
YMCA Members $75/per month | Non-Members $100/per month
(4hrs/week) *Includes all meet fees and practices with exception of state
Bronze Team - Twice a Week Class
YMCA Members $110/per month | Non-Members $135/per month
(4hrs/week) *Includes all meet fees and practices with exception of state
Silver Team
YMCA Members $110/per month | Non-Members $135/per month
(6 hrs/week) *Includes all meet fees and practices with exception of state
Gold Team
YMCA Members $110/per month | Non-Members $135/per month
(6 hrs/week) *includes all meet fees and practices with exception of state
Additional Fees
One-time program Registration Fee of $20.
Leotards are not included in registration.

Once paid, fees are non-refundable as fees are set based on the number of gymnasts at the beginning of each competition year.
Competition Entry Fees - Vary Each Year
The cost of actually entering your child into a competition.
AAU Registration Fee - $14
This covers insurance for the gymnast and is required across the country for all gymnasts to compete in AAU sanctioned events. This fee is a yearly fee that you will have to pay directly to the organization.

Come workout the mid-day jitters and adult life stresses with some fun gymnastics flipping and muscle endurance training
